Report: Amazon’s Big Style Sale Juices Demand… Before the Sale Event

This spring fashion brands dealt with crushing supply chain and fulfillment challenges. Then Amazon announced a week-long fashion sales event starting June 22. Commentators anticipated that the Big Style Sale would be like a ‘mini Prime Day’ for fashion.

To find out how the sales event really impacted consumer behavior, we analyzed more than 6,500 different Clothing, Shoes & Jewelry keywords during Amazon’s Big Style Sale as well as over the weeks leading up to the sale. The results show that activity in the fashion categories actually peaked before the sale event.

The data and analysis we share in our report reveal the full story. In this report we cover:

  • Keyword performance data in the Clothing, Shoes, & Jewelry category
  • A comparison to click volume in non-fashion keywords
  • Why the Big Style Sale was a “coming out party” for fashion on Amazon
